Please Meet Me

If you’re lonely
Please meet me
Out in God’s tiny boat.
Like the rolling waves of the ocean
Laughter will flow from our stomachs
And echo along the beach with a rhythmic crash.
We’ll count our infinite blessings in the stars
Until our necks are tired
From looking all that long way up
And our joyful squealing will rock the dinghy
From side to side.

Let’s press our hands together
So I can lose myself in your palms.
And then, when you find yourself in mine,
Our tears will be so pure
We’ll drink them
To finally quench our thirst.
